Kami Speed is one of a small number of HKS Authorized Master Sellers in the United States. That status matters for two concrete reasons: every part we ship is sourced directly through HKS's authorized US distribution channel — not gray market, not parallel import — and your HKS warranty stays valid because of it.
HKS Co., Ltd. was founded in 1973 by Hiroyuki Hasegawa in Fujinomiya, Japan, and has spent five decades engineering performance hardware for the platforms that defined Japanese tuning: RB26 GT-R, 2JZ Supra, 4G63 Evo, EJ25 STI, K20C FK8 and FL5 Civic Type R, FA20/FA24 GR86/BRZ, B58 GR Supra, G16E GR Corolla, and most other manual-transmission performance vehicles built in Japan over the last fifty years. HKS holds Time Attack records, has supplied Super GT and Formula D teams, and produces hardware that's earned a place on cars at every level from grassroots autocross to dedicated time attack builds.
We carry the HKS catalog across every category: Hi-Power, SPEC-L, Super Turbo, and Legamax exhaust systems; Hipermax S, R, and IV SP coilovers; cold air intakes and reloaded suspension upgrades; oil coolers and intercoolers; GTIII bolt-on turbo kits; forged pistons and BCD piston kits; cam gears and valve springs; EVC boost controllers, blow-off valves, and turbo timers; aero body panels and lifestyle goods. If you've shopped HKS before and gotten burned by a "too good to be true" eBay listing or a backorder that turned into six months of silence, this is the difference. We've been selling HKS since 2004 — we know which Hi-Power variant fits your FL5 without scraping, which turbo kit to choose, and when a Japan-market-only release is worth waiting on vs. when the USDM equivalent is the smarter buy.
Yes — Master Seller tier with HKS USA, verifiable on their dealer locator. We've held authorized status continuously since 2004.
Yes. Full HKS USA warranty applies. We handle RMA processing directly.
USDM in-stock items ship within a few business days. Japan-direct items typically 4–8 weeks; limited releases 8–12+ weeks. We update you when your order is placed with HKS Japan and again when it ships out.
You can, and people do — autocross and HPDE are fine. For wheel-to-wheel or serious time attack, the damping range and valving aren't built for that use case. Look at Hipermax R for a more aggressive HKS option, or step outside the HKS lineup.
Yes, every HKS turbo kit requires a supporting tune. Some platforms (A90 Supra, FK8) have well-established HKS-validated tunes available. Others require custom tuning. The product page will tell you what's available for your platform.
Under the Magnuson-Moss Warranty Act, a dealer can't void your full warranty just because you installed an aftermarket part — but they can deny warranty on components the aftermarket part affected. An HKS exhaust isn't going to affect your transmission warranty. An HKS turbo kit absolutely affects your engine warranty. Use judgment based on what you're modifying.

Short version: Hi-Power is the louder/sportier tune, SPEC-L adds a resonator section for reduced drone at the same flow rate, Super Turbo is the quietest of the three and the closest to OEM+ in tone. We have a longer breakdown on our HKS Exhaust Comparison Guide.
